The moment you give your life to Christ, the next step to maintain a good christian life is building up a relationship with God. Any christian pilgrim today that claims to be born again without a personal relationship with God is hell-bound. God only recognizes you when you have a tangible relationship, a father-son or father-daughter relationship which is far more deeper than any other relationship you can ever think of. To build this, You must make up your mind from within that from today i'm going to stake my all for Christ who rode on that white horse in Revelation 6:2 and believe that He died on the cross of Calvary for your sake. Confessing and believing this means a lot to the house hold in heaven, mean your confession and follow this steps to build a lasting relationship with the master.

1. Reject Sin: You must live above sin, those filthy an unworthy lives that does not glorify God must be laid aside for the bible says that God cannot behold iniquity. He is a holy God and those that serve him must be holy. So holiness is the first attribute that will lay a lasting foundation for the relationship to stand.
2. Study The Word: Every product has a manual where you can go and learn how to operate it. The bible likewise is our own manual for a better christian living. It contains the do's and dont's and other necessary ingredients for a successful christian life. So you must study to show yourself approved. Soak yourself in the word, Be baptized by the word and stand firm in the face of difficulties.
3.Prayerful: This is a means of communication between humanity and divinity. For your prayer to give the desired result, it must be effective and fervent. We must pray without ceasing, in and out of season, praying in the spirit.
4. Fellowship: Never forsake the gathering of the saints. Look for a bible believing church where you can share and learn from others for the edification of the body of Christ. Its very important.
5. Love One Another: Love unconditionally, forgive all, never bear grudges, segregate or backbite. Love even the unbelievers more so that by your actions they will be drawn closer to the body of Christ.
